I stumbled across the Duke Socratic Club blog and bless their hearts, they've recorded several lectures that various professors gave to their club.  I've only listened to the Hauerwas one so far, which is Hauerwas reading from the memoir

My grandfather died yesterday.  He was a life-long Methodist, an accountant, a volunteer fire captain, and played trumpet in a marching band.  In fact he was at a parade when he had his stroke.  He was married to my grandmoth

My grandfather had two strokes and a heart attack last week.  He is now in hospice care.  The doctors say he will probably only be in hospice for two weeks or so.  I am flying to NJ this weekend to say goodbye.  Please keep my fam
