My mom (Hi Mom!) sent me a link about a conference sponsored by The Center for Genetics and Society titled "The Next Four Years, the Biotech Agenda, and the Human Future: What Direction for Liberals and Progressives?"

So.  Now, let's create some artificial wombs and we can make women almost obsolete!  Stop - don't leave that comment yet.  Of course women do not exist merely to create other human beings.  I'm just sharing my deep, dark feminist dystopian nightmare with you.  

The U.N. argues over a resolution to ban cloning embryos for stem cell research. 

New Zealand passed a bill, that among other things, "bans some type of procedures outright, including the cloning of embryos, genetic modification and the use of cells from foetuses for reproductive purposes."
