Election round-up

The New Pantagruel has published a dialogue on the presidential election.  Also, Peter Nixon is no longer blogging but left an excellent comment over at Amy Welborn's blog (2nd comment on the list).  Here's his last paragraph:

"But here is the question that those of us leaning toward Kerry need to ask ourselves: if we won’t take a pass on this guy, then who won’t we vote for? If the Democratic Party can count on the votes of pro-life Catholics, no matter who they nominate, then is there really any chance—ever—of seeing even a modest change in the party’s embrace of the most extreme elements of the pro-choice movement? Even those, like me, who don’t believe that recriminalization is the answer must face the fact that if abortion cannot even be spoken of publicly as a tragedy and an evil, then any talk of changing the culture must be abandoned. That’s where this train is heading. How long do we want to stay on board?"
